I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner and have dedicated over 20 years to the healthcare profession. Before becoming a dual Certified Nurse Practitioner, I worked as a Registered Nurse for 16 years practicing in various clinical settings, which allowed me to explore my expertise in the medical and mental health field. I started my nursing career in 1996 as a Licensed Practical Nurse following in my mother’s footsteps and her passion to care for people. I pursued my undergraduate degree at Southern Union Community College in Opelika, Alabama in 1998.
In 2014, I graduated from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where I obtained my MSN degree in the concentration of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. My clinical philosophy is focused on caring for patients in a holistic approach, which ensures their mental and medical needs are met.
I reside with my family in a small town in Alabama and enjoy spending time with her everyone close to me. I also enjoy fishing, swimming, camping, watching classic movies and listening to music.
