**My practice is currently full. I maintain a waitlist for clients ages 5-25** I’m going to introduce myself with a silly statement: I am not a wizard. I can’t magically make your 5-year-old behave perfectly, your teen want to talk to you, or make your parents understand and appreciate you. I can, however, be an empathetic listener for children, adolescents, and young adults and help to provide context and understanding for thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may feel or seem perplexing. I provide tools, resources, and an environment in which change for the better is possible.

My expertise is rooted in my ability to create a therapeutic relationship; to cultivate a safe space where you feel heard and accepted, loved as you are while being encouraged and supported in making changes that are meaningful to you. I employ therapeutic listening, mindfulness, play, art, psychoeducation, and humor in my practice with all ages.

Finding a therapist in a time of need can be an overwhelming and exhausting process. It can take a few tries to find a good fit. If you think we might work well together please reach out for a free 15-minute phone consultation. I look forward to hearing from you.

For the past 10 years, I have worked with children, adults, couples, and families in order to improve their pattern of interaction with others. Relationships are essential to our lives, but at times it can be difficult and painful in relationships. Whether I work with you individually or in a couples/family setting, the goal of therapy is to improve the joy you have in your relationships. Seeking help can be overwhelming, but it is most effective when you are ready and willing to work towards the future you want for yourself.

There are many reasons that people come into counseling and you may have a need that is not listed here. That does not mean that counseling is not an option for you. I will work individually with you to help you achieve your goals.

Zorayda Shirer Castillo

My approach in counseling is personalized, collaborative, compassionate and non-judgmental. I believe a supportive counseling environment works to help a client achieve awareness, feel validated, and empowered, thus leading to healing and personal growth. To quote Albert Sweitzer “Each patient carries his own doctor inside him…. We are at our best when we give the doctor who resides within a chance to go to work.” I trust people to know themselves better than anyone else.

*ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS* Life is full of challenges and setbacks and we sometimes need assistance. I believe one of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story. Many people see therapy as a one-sided conversation. I work with you to help you identify your desires and empower you to make those positive changes in your life. I recognize that making the choice to seek help can be difficult, so I use an approach that is compassionate, direct, and non-judgmental to help create an environment where you feel supported in your counseling journey.

Life is too short to surrender to bad relationships, hold grudges, let trauma control us, or be anxious/angry all the time. I work with a diverse range of individuals experiencing concerns including depression, anxiety, grief, histories of abuse and trauma, interpersonal conflicts, personality and mood disorders. I have close to 20 years experience helping.

If you feel stressed. If you feel overwhelmed. If you feel that you are unclear about how you feel. I invite you to contact me so that I can help you on the road to change.

I believe that the most important relationship a person has is with oneself. In my work at Power Of Connection, I help my clients focus on self acquaintance and on deepening and improving their relationship with themselves as a bridge to other meaningful relationships in their lives. In a safe, non judgmental environment, we become aware of the way one feels, thinks, talks, and relates to him or herself. We explore and modify thoughts and beliefs while learning new tools, in a process that leads to a transformation in the way one thinks, feels and acts.

As a therapist I help my clients to identify obstacles and create new pathways towards satisfaction and fulfillment. ‘Power of Connection’ is built on the premise that all people are engaged in meaningful relationships throughout their lives. In therapy I encourage my client to explore and improve the meaningful connections in their lives.

I am a licensed clinical social worker, and a trained Life Coach. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Expressive Therapy and Mindfulness. I have experience working in both inpatient and community settings with diverse populations. I am fluent in both Hebrew and English.

Zoey Welch

Inevitably, life presents challenges and difficulties which can take many different forms. Sometimes people seek out therapy for very specific reasons: perhaps a major life transition has become overwhelming, or certain patterns within a relationship are starting to take a toll. Pressures in a particular setting, whether at school, at work, or at home, may be feeling too difficult to navigate alone. Other times, people come to therapy with less certain goals, maybe feeling unsure or confused about where their life is headed, maybe simply wanting something more. It’s not always easy to answer the question, “What brings you here?”

People tend to doubt their inner strengths, and don’t quite realize how many resources they in fact possess. I have found that, through conversation with a trusted person, people can more easily identify those strengths and build upon them. And I have come to see this collaborative process as central to my work.

My past experiences doing individual and family therapy with people of all ages, of diverse backgrounds and difficult, sometimes traumatic histories and life circumstances, have engendered within me a core belief that with the right support and collaboration, it is possible to make meaningful and long-lasting changes.

Zoey Holguin

You don’t feel like you are enough. In fact, sometimes you think if you were just a different person, things would be better. Confidence is fleeting. You feel uncomfortable in your own skin. Your thoughts are plagued by what others think of you and you are riddled with guilt for just about everything. You long for a relationship that is fulfilling and/or fears keep you in the one you know you shouldn’t be in. Finding your voice and gaining a sense of self is possible. You can unleash yourself of negative relationship patterns too.

You CAN and WILL have the relationship you want and be the kind of person you’ve always wanted to be. Whether you’ve faced failed relationships or have difficulty with self-esteem, help is here. I specialize in women who want to find inner peace and have amazing relationships.

Convenient online scheduling. Specializing in attachment-based emotionally focused therapy for individuals and couples.

Zoey Faught

Handling life’s challenges with presence of mind is not always easy. I can help you identify what is contributing to your distress and assist you in finding a path toward consciously creating your best life. I work with people dealing with challenging life issues from relationship stresses, family turmoil, trauma, grief and loss, gender and/or sexual identity, anxiety, depression and beyond. I also work with people who simply want to find more meaning, purpose, fulfillment and joy in their lives. I offer in person and distance-counseling via phone or video-conferencing. Offices in Hilo and Kea’au.

As a vibrational alignment coach I help people integrate their peek spiritual experiences. I utilize traditional and non-traditional modalities of understanding and healing the self. Shamanism, mysticism and psychology all influence my work. As a certified trauma treatment professional, I am skilled in holding space for intense personal work.

Frequent feedback I get from clients is that they find me easy to talk to, nurturing and down-to-earth. I’ve gotten this kind of feedback most of my life and am grateful to be of service helping people find greater peace and ease in their lives.

**I AM CURRENTLY NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS, HOWEVER, I CAN PUT YOU ON A WAITLIST IF INTERESTED** I have been specializing in providing psychotherapy for individuals, couples and families from teens to adults for over 10 years. I love finding new ways to resolve old problems by working with the mind and the body using both traditional therapy and mindfulness techniques. As well as relationship enhancement therapy, a skills based learning approach to improve communication and empathy interpersonally. Lets collaborate to find practical solutions and reduce your life stressors.

An experienced meditator with several years of intensive practice, I am Hakomi trained, a mindfulness based psychotherapy. I have found that working with the mind is only one piece of the picture, lets focus on examining thought patterns with cognitive behavioral therapy, adding mindfulness skills to gain personal insight and work with deeper core material.

Are you interested in healing and growth? My work and art as a therapist involves creating a safe, supportive environment that promotes the opportunity for personal change and expansion. I recognize the courage and strength it takes to reach out for help. I would be honored to partner with you on your journey while offering you support and encouragement along the way. As a counselor, I aim to build a strong therapeutic alliance with my clients and I believe that is an essential part of therapy. I consider my approach to be Eclectic as I use different treatment modalities to provide the best treatment plan and care for my clients. I primarily use Person-Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with my clients. I also often utilize mindfulness techniques and meditation in session.

I have experience working with adolescents and adults in the areas of anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life changes and adjustments, stress, grief and loss, trauma, substance use, self-esteem, and more. I am passionate about working with teenagers and young adults looking to improve their quality of life and the quality of their relationships.

Zoe Waggoner

Are you feeling stuck, confused…and don’t know how to move forward – especially now in the pandemic of the COVID-19 virus? I am always updating my skills and now offer A.R.T. or Accelerated Resolution Therapy – research and evidence based therapy that brings relief to clients in fewer sessions. And I can now offer Brainspotting – a truly unique healing experience. Clients are reporting less anxiety, less repetitive thinking, and more calm. More ability to self-regulate and move forward in relationships, work and life.

My focus is to help my clients acquire and use ‘tools’ to help them cope more effectively with anxiety and depression, deep grief, aging, pre-peri-natal and birth traumas, soul loss/soul retrieval, and life transitions. My most recent treatment tools are ART or Accelerated Resolution Therapy – research based, efficient, and effective, and Brainspotting.

I collaborate with my clients to help them gain skills and coping methods to navigate their lives successfully. To facilitate deep healing and begin to practice fierce self-compassion and kindness towards themselves as well as others. To truly ‘wake up’ to the privilege it is to be an im-perfect human being.

Zoe Ulantha Mount

I have been a licensed therapist since 2004. I work primarily with adolescents and their families, as well as with adults. I have a great deal of experience working with teens and their families around issues such as chore compliance, school refusal, and helping teens begin the process of picking and apllying for college.

I work well with tweens (12-14) and teens (14-18) and am comfortable working with the family as a whole, to resolve issues such as curfew, chores and ‘general attitude’ or with just the teen to offer a place for the venting of feelings and sorting out the many challenges and changes facing teens.

I have worked with teens since my internship, in 20000. I am vey comfortable with this unique population who present a special set of needs and sills.

Zoe Trifilio Pfaffman

I will educate you and give you practical guidance…even in your first session!

Zoe Torres

(*Not accepting new clients) I work with adolescents and adults who would like to change difficult behaviors and mindsets; people looking to explore different aspects of the self or gain access to more internal balance, connection, and contentment. You may be working through situational hurdles or life transitions; dealing with the impacts of oppression and societal conditioning; feeling unsafe in the world, disconnected from others and your own experience. Depending on your personal needs and goals, we might work together briefly or long term, focusing on solutions and paths forward, or unraveling some of the roots of your issues.

I work with teens and adults who are challenged by different things: trauma responses, depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief and loss, etc. We will work together to help you develop more self-compassion, contentment and life skills; building the ability to move through and be with discomfort so that you are better able to manage life’s ups and downs.

Life is challenging. Often we need the presence of a supportive witness to our journey in order to heal, shine, and access our own wisdom and strength. Therapy is an opportunity for exciting growth and change, but it can be a scary step to take. I deeply respect the courage it takes to reach out.

Zoe Timme

I enjoy working with clients who are motivated to reflect on their own functioning and improve their circumstances in order to fully appreciate life. Whether you are “the worried well” or somebody facing extreme adversity, I have the skills necessary to help you feel better. The best predictor of therapeutic outcomes is the client’s motivation, so I just ask that my clients have the goal of feeling better, whatever that may mean for you.

I am very motivated to hear about you, including what’s going well in your life and what’s not, and to offer insights that will help you live a more authentic life. I strive to offer a safe space for discussing your personal matters and use a warm, individualized, open, and nonjudgmental approach.

I have experience working with a wide range of individuals and fully appreciate that we are each unique. I want to hear how you are doing and work with you to understand and improve the things that affect you. Whether it is changing your environment or learning new ways to handle matters, I strongly believe in the power of therapy to build happiness.

Zoe Therapy Services

I believe there is meaning in symptoms. We are designed to thrive. When something is out of balance our mind/body/spirit/relationships present symptoms to ask us to pay attention. I specialize in helping people discover what needs their attention. Then, I help people learn new skills so they are equipped to respond more effectively to their needs. I offer support as people practice necessary changes in their thoughts, managing their emotions, and interacting with others and their circumstances. Finally, I encourage and guide people as they seek to fully actualize their potential.

Anxiety, depression, anger, conflict, children acting out, feeling chronic stress, panic attacks, experiences of trauma, searching for meaning, feeling empty, hopeless or helpless – these are all flashing lights on the dashboard of life telling us that something is not working properly. We need to stop and address the issues.

Discover. Practice. Thrive. My practice offers multiple modalities to support people in these areas.

Zoe Therapy Services

I enjoy and welcome clients who are interested in living life to the fullest by tapping into the best possible version of themselves. I work best with clients who are dealing with depression, anxiety, stress, relationship or wellness issues. I am passionate about working with them as individuals and helping them lead happier, healthier, more whole and joyful lives.

I hold a masters degree in counseling psychology with a wide breadth of clinical experience, including inpatient, partial , and EAP settings. I specialize in the holistic treatment of anxiety and depression as well as stress management and wellness. I am also a certified health coach and use my skills to help clients identify and reach their goals.

I welcome and look forward to hearing your story and being a part of your journey to greater levels of peace, joy and wellness.

Zoe Tarrant

I know it’s hard to take that first step. I am a strength-based family-systems-trained therapist who believes, “it is never too late to be what you might have been.” I believe that who we are both in and out of relationship is not fixed, and that implementing small steps toward change is both do-able and rewarding. My passion for therapy is grounded in the belief that problems and worry held in isolation grow, whereas voicing them aloud in a safe place and working together with a compassionate and skilled therapist can help reduce them to a manageable size.

I enjoy helping clients with life transitions, parenting, family dynamics, stuck relationship patterns, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, blended families, post-divorce co-parenting, feelings of isolation, school and peer stress, and career re-entry. I work with adults, teens, college students, empty-nesters, seniors, couples and families.

I have a specialty in assisting individuals and couples in the area of infertility, pregnancy loss, and adoption. I understand the complexities of navigating family-building choice points. I especially enjoy working with rich and interesting adoptive families, Transracial families, conspicuous families of all types, and families formed using Third Party reproduction.

Zoe Silver

I believe in the power of talking and the therapeutic relationship to help my clients better understand their inner worlds and cope with the complicated realities of life. Together, we strive to draw meaningful connections that can ultimately lead to personal fulfillment and successful relationships. My work is informed by psychodynamic concepts — exploring how the unconscious and early experiences may impact one’s emotions and relationship dynamics. I emphasize collaboration and open dialogue about our process together, and use a social justice lens to acknowledge the ways in which systems of oppression contribute to suffering.

I have a Masters in Social Work from Boston College and am completing extended training in psychodynamic psychotherapy at Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School. My work is with individuals, couples, and families. I have particular experience and interest in supporting those who are or are preparing to parent.

Zoe Shaw

As a Marriage & Family Therapist I have had the privilege of working with adults, couples, children and families throughout my 10+ year career in the mental health field. I have developed my career by gaining experience in a variety of settings including schools, non-profit agencies, crisis intervention, group practice and now, currently, private practice. I have helped individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, grief/loss, trauma and issues surrounding their family of origin. I enjoy working with young people on their journey to self-discovery, guiding families through parenthood and facilitating communication for couples in conflict.

I feel honored to sit in a room with an individual & have them share with me things that they may have never shared with anyone else before. I see my role as a therapist to provide insight & guidance with genuine non-judgmental regard. I approach therapy with energy and optimism.

Making the decision to pursue therapy is not always an easy one; therapy can be challenging and at times overwhelming, but it can also provide you with healing, relief and a new perspective. If you are ready to take that step–I would love to hear from you!

I am a bilingual, bicultural, Spanish speaking therapist. I also practice spiritually informed psychotherapy with clients who believe that is appropriate for them. My background has made me acutely aware of the stresses related to immigration, cultural, language and generational gaps.

[NOW ACCEPTING ONLINE/REMOTE CLIENTS] In my opinion, there is nothing more powerful than authentic human connection. The connection built between therapist and client has the ability to foster immense change and growth. As a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist I feel truly honored to be trusted with this responsibility and want nothing more than to create a safe space for my clients to share their stories.

I have facilitated sessions with adults, adolescents, groups, couples, and families. I am well versed in drug prevention/psychoeducation and have traveled to schools across the country speaking to students about the dangers of drugs, self-esteem, body image issues, and sexuality.

I feel passionate about my work with addiction, but have also learned that it is merely a symptom of some underlying issue. Trauma, abuse, low self-esteem, anxiety, and depression can all lead to some form of self medication. It then becomes the goal of therapy to work together to engage new, healthier coping skills.

Zoé Newman

I offer a compassionate, safe space in which to explore and work with the feelings, fear, anxieties and uncertainty of these challenging times. I also offer support and tools with which you can begin to change negative patterns, heal early wounding, learn to support yourself with self-acceptance, and open to new possibilities.

I work with issues including: self-esteem, depression, anxiety, childhood abuse, trauma, loss, midlife, spirituality, transitions and relationships. I draw on years of experience and a broad background including EMDR, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, somatic awareness, Jungian perspectives, and The Work of Byron Katie.

I welcome you to contact me to discuss your needs or with any questions.

Do you ever wonder, despite all your knowledge and efforts for growth that you still end up in a pattern of doing the same thing over and over again? Well, it’s not your fault and there is a way to change it. When we are free to truly see and understand the connection to our brain, body, mind, and relationships, we can actually rewire our brains to build new neural pathways for new ways of thinking and being. Most of what we do, we have no idea why we do it; almost 85% is not on a conscious level.

Our work together, can aid in changing these patterns to rewire. Whether you are dealing with feeling stressed, alone, depressed, anxious, addicted, disconnected, or struggling within your relationship, it can change! A healthy integration of mind, brain and relationships enable you to feel open, connected, engaged, harmonious, compassionate, and energized.

My approach is directive, compassionate, respectful, spiritual, educational, and even humorous – you’ll laugh, you’ll cry. I believe the success of our work is about the relationship we establish. I am committed to supporting and guiding you through it all. I utilize traditional talking, contemporary neuroscience, mindfulness and body-centered techniques.

Zoe Douglas

There has to be more to Mental Care than crisis management, disorders, illnesses, or diagnosis labeling. We are proactive in the maintenance of our bodies, yet, we neglect the “main computer” the mind, the psyche, the CORE of us. We, at CORE, believe in working hard – Mental Health Boot Camp – if you get the drift. Compassion is abundant at CORE but not in the form of soft talk. You are doing hard work and we take it serious. As a team we will discover those aspects of “self” that make us all so amazing. We will walk together sharing life’s stories and how they do or do not define who you are at our CORE.

We are passionate and dedicated to being right there with our clients as they take on the personal journey of growth and self-discovery. People are complex creatures with equally complex lives, relationships, and those elusive historical experiences that influence us all. We welcome all walks of humanity and those brave souls in alternative life-styles.

We strive to be authentic, genuine, and open with our clients. By doing so, we hope to provide a safe place to celebrate being perfectly imperfect human beings. Life is a series of speed bumps, our hope is to guide our clients to discover from within: self-compassion, the courage to be vulnerable, and the skills necessary to engage in healthy relationships

Zoe Davis

I work with adults who may be struggling to find nourishment on multiple levels: emotionally, psychologically, physically, and relationship-wise. I meet you where you are, and help to guide you where you want to be more of the time. I work with you to create a healthier relationship with your whole self, including through relationships, creativity, nutrition, movement, and contribution.

My unique combination of education and experience in psychology and functional nutrition allows me to use a mind-body approach in a truly integrated way. When you look at your child, you see strength and potential within them; but big emotions and challenging behaviors can cause you to lose sight of those positives, leaving you feeling overwhelmed and lost. Children are complex, perceptive beings who know and understand more than we give them credit for, but they aren’t always the best communicators, especially when it comes to their emotions. Thankfully, there is hope! Taking the time to understand your child’s perspective and experience will help you connect with them on a deeper level, setting the foundation for strong and secure relationships for life.

My family centered approach to treatment identifies the strengths of each family member and uses them to conquer the challenges being presented. Positive play, effective communication, and clear boundary setting are just some of the tools used to rejuvenate the caregiver/child bond. I offer individual, family, and caregiver sessions and am trained in PCIT.

Congratulations on showing up for yourself and your child today. Parenting is tough, but you’re tougher, and I’m so excited for the opportunity to join you in this journey of learning and growing alongside your child. If you would like to discuss the challenges you’re experiencing or how I can be of support to you, please reach out for a free consultation.

In today’s world, many tasks and responsibilities can easily become overwhelming as life throws us unexpected obstacles. We can become anxious, depressed, hopeless, feeling like there is no rhyme or reason to what we are going through, to what we are thinking and feeling, or even to life itself. We might choose to escape from our problems, angst, a sense of void, our past, or our daily thoughts through indulging in external gratifications, by using drugs and alcohol, sex, relationships, or other means. We often get stuck in our thinking, consumed by negative self-talk and perceptions of ourselves.

I’ve become a therapist because I realized there is power in being more self-aware, there are insights we can all gain to enrich our lives and overcome what we are struggling with. Whether you’re dealing with grief, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, existential angst, addictions, we all have the means to understand, change, and live better lives.

Life does not stop and everything is in constant flux, but that doesn’t mean we have to be powerless over how we feel and what we want our lives to be. Through a variety of therapeutic approaches and philosophical theories, I help people realize their inner strength, improve their ability to overcome burdens, and gain deeper insights into their lives.
